1. Agreeing to these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and martai (“we”), the trade name of Nikhil Meena, a sole proprietorship in India, about the Kiddo Safe app and this website. By installing or using Kiddo Safe, you agree to them and to our privacy policy.
2. Who can use Kiddo Safe
You must be an adult (18, or the age of majority where you live) and the parent or legal guardian of the child whose phone you set up, or otherwise have the legal right to supervise them. You may install Kiddo Safe only on a device that you own or manage for that child.
Kiddo Safe must not be used to monitor or control another adult, or anyone without the legal right to do so, or for any unlawful purpose.
3. What Kiddo Safe does, and doesn’t
Kiddo Safe helps you set rules on an Android phone: which apps open, adult pages, short videos, time limits, bedtime and more, as described on our features page.
- No filter is perfect. Kiddo Safe can miss content, and sometimes block something harmless.
- It depends on Android permissions you grant and keep. Phone makers’ battery savers or system updates can stop it; Protection check-up tells you when that happens.
- It isn’t an emergency service and isn’t a live tracker. Check-ins are kept on the phone and aren’t sent to you.
- It doesn’t replace talking with your kid, or your own supervision.
4. Your part
- Keep your PIN secret, and add a recovery email if you want to be able to reset it.
- Use check-ins (screenshots, sound recordings and location) only where and how the law allows, including any rules about recording conversations.
- Be open with your kid that Kiddo Safe is on their phone. Kip is designed to be seen, not hidden.
5. Premium and payments
Kiddo Safe is free to use, with optional Premium features. Premium is sold through Google Play as a monthly or yearly subscription, or as a one-time Lifetime purchase. Prices are shown in Google Play before you pay.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel in Google Play. Premium keeps working until the end of the period you paid for.
- If a payment fails or a subscription ends, Premium keeps working for 3 days. Then the Premium rules switch off; renewing brings them back as they were.
- Lifetime is a single payment for Premium for as long as we offer Kiddo Safe on Google Play, on the Google account that bought it.
- Payments, refunds and cancellations are handled by Google Play under its terms. This doesn’t affect your rights under consumer law.
- We may change prices or which features are Premium; a change won’t affect a period you’ve already paid for.
6. Your licence
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Kiddo Safe for your family. Please don’t copy, sell, modify or reverse-engineer it, get around its protections or Premium, or use it to harm anyone.
7. What’s ours
Kiddo Safe, Kip and everything in the app and on this website belong to us or our licensors. Other apps’ names and icons shown on this site belong to their owners and are shown only to describe what Kiddo Safe works with.
8. Other services
Some parts rely on others: Google Play for payments, Google Maps for the check-ins map, and the DNS provider you pick for Safe DNS. Their own terms apply to them, and we aren’t responsible for them.
9. No guarantees
We work hard to keep Kiddo Safe reliable, but it’s provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we don’t promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free or catch everything.
10. Limits on our liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for content Kiddo Safe didn’t block, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us for Kiddo Safe in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that can’t be limited by law.
11. Ending
You can stop using Kiddo Safe at any time by uninstalling it (turn off Uninstall protection first, with your PIN). We may suspend or end access if Kiddo Safe is misused or these terms are broken. Sections 7, 9, 10 and 13 keep applying after that.
12. Changes
We may update these terms. We’ll change the date at the top, and say so in the app if a change is significant. If you keep using Kiddo Safe after that, the new terms apply.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and disputes go to the courts at Guna, Madhya Pradesh, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring them there.
