Built to work on your kid's phone alone
Here's exactly what Kiddo Safe sees, what it keeps, and the little that leaves the phone.
What Kip sees
Kiddo Safe uses Android's Accessibility service to do its job. You switch it on yourself during setup.
- Which app is open. So it can block the apps you chose, run the kids home, Bedtime and time limits.
- Web addresses, page titles and words on web pages. In browsers and the browsers inside apps, so it can cover adult pages and the sites and words you blocked.
- YouTube channel names. So only the channels you added play.
- Some Settings screens. So no one can switch Kiddo Safe off or delete it without your PIN, when Uninstall protection is on.
- The screen, for check-ins. Only while check-ins are on: a screenshot up to every 30 minutes, kept on the phone.
Kip checks these on the phone, as they happen. No browsing history is kept, and none of it is sent anywhere.

Uninstalling Kiddo Safe deletes all of it. With Uninstall protection on, that needs your PIN.
The little that leaves the phone
- Your email, if you add one. To send you a 6-digit code when you add it or forget your PIN. It goes to our server, which emails the code.
- Crash reports. If Kiddo Safe crashes, a report goes to our server: what went wrong, the app version, the phone's model, Android version and memory, and your email if you added one.
- Purchases. Handled by Google Play. We don't see your payment details.
- The check-ins map. When you open the map, Google draws it and turns the places into street names, so Google sees those locations.
- Safe DNS. Once you set it up, the phone asks the family DNS you picked (Cloudflare or AdGuard) for each web address.
- Fonts for some languages. Hindi, Bengali, Arabic, Japanese and Korean letters are downloaded through Google Play services.
What Kiddo Safe never does
- Your kid's screen, voice, location or browsing sent to us
- Ads, or ad trackers
- Selling or renting anyone's data
- Accounts, logins or profiles on our servers

Each one is asked for on its own, during setup or when you switch on the rule that needs it.

Kiddo Safe doesn't ask for your camera, contacts, messages, call log, location in the background, or advertising ID.

Kiddo Safe is for parents and guardians to set up on their own kid's phone. Your kid has no account and gives us nothing. Kip is never hidden: he explains every block, a notification shows he's on guard, and check-ins always show a notification while they're on.
